If Man City is found guilty of more than 100 financial rule violations, all Premier League teams agree on the appropriate punishment. The Premier League claimed in a statement on Monday that City had allegedly broken rules for nine seasons.

There have been claims that the Premier League’s “Big Six” clubs want to impose the strongest penalties on City. While its not only the “Big Six”, according to The Sun, ALL of the top-flight clubs want the same.

Man City should be demoted according to Premier League clubs

If City is found guilty, they want them to be demoted so they can no longer compete in the Premier League. Many others have also called for the player’s potential expulsion from the Football League.

Thus, if any of such punishments are being imposed it will create History in the World of Football and will all set an example for other clubs that would ensure nothing is bigger than the Premier League.

Club representatives arrived in London for the first of two days of meetings, but it is unknown if City’s CEO Ferran Soriano would be there for today’s or tomorrow’s discussions.

Depending on how the judgement turns out, some of the senior brass at clubs have reportedly been debating potential loss of revenue compensation claims against City behind closed doors.

Retroactive point deductions have been discussed, although they may be challenging to implement. According to Sky Sports, the majority of people believe that City will likely be subject to a “minor point deduction” if the Premier League wins.

Pep Guardiola’s contract with City will probably have expired by the time a resolution is reached, so it is unlikely for anything to happen anytime soon.
