Australian swimmer Shayna Jack has been heavily penalized by ASADA

Australian swimmer Shayna has allegedly been informed that she will receive the maximum of a four-year ban due to her failed drug test unless she proves her innocence.

Jack had been notified of the decision when both her A and B samples came positive to the banned muscle-building drug Ligandrol.

The 20-year-old previously said that she didn’t know that she took the drug. She posted the same on her Instagram after her failed test being made public.

“I did not take this substance knowingly,” she wrote on Instagram.

Further, she wrote, “Swimming has been my passion since I was 10 years old and I would never intentionally take a banned substance that would disrespect my sport or jeopardise my career.”
