Dean Henderson to discuss Man United future

Dean Henderson, the goalkeeper for Manchester United, is likely to discuss his future this summer.

Henderson was on loan at Nottingham Forest during the 2022-23 season, but his season was cut short due to injury.

He did, however, suffer a setback in his recuperation from a thigh ailment, meaning he will miss the rest of the season.

Henderson will join Manchester United at the conclusion of the season, having kept six clean sheets in 20 competitive outings for Nottingham Forest.

Henderson acknowledged to “fuming” at the issue and claimed that promises had been breached.

According to ESPN, Henderson will discuss his future with Manchester United this summer while Erik ten Hag assesses his goalkeeping alternatives.

According to the source, the England international is garnering interest from Premier League clubs as well as clubs from other countries.

Henderson is likely to recover from his injury in time for pre-season, although it is unclear whether he will feature for Manchester United next season.

Despite coming through the youth levels at Old Trafford, he has been unable to earn regular playing time at the club, making only 29 senior appearances.

Man United’s goalkeeping situation is currently uncertain, with current number one David de Gea’s contract expiring at the conclusion of the season.

Man United are anticipated to agree to new conditions in which De Gea will accept a pay cut, but his new contract will include greater performance-related bonuses.

De Gea has received no assurances that he would be Ten Hag’s first-choice custodian next season, with the Red Devils poised to recruit a new goalkeeper.

They have been connected with several prospective targets, including Brentford custodian David Raya, who is nearing the end of his contract.
