IPL 2022: SRH vs GT – Team News, Predicted Lineup & Match Preview

SRH vs GT

We are heading into the 21st game of the 15 edition of the Indian T20 League and it will be Gujarat Titans (GT) going up against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Gujarat have started off their season with a bang and are the only unbeatable team in the tournament so far with three wins in three games. Hardik Pandya’s bowling adjustments have been right on, and the inclusion of Darshan Nalkande and Sai Sudharsan in the last game quickly paid off for Gujarat. The form of Shubman Gill, who has continued to impress with the bat, will be the biggest plus for the team.

The Kane Williamson-led side put up a valiant fight against the Chennai Super Kings in the last game to earn their first win of the IPL 2022 season and will be hoping to keep the momentum going. Abhishek Sharma has finally arrived at the top order chain, which will come as a big relief to the Orange Army.

SRH vs GT – Match Details

Match #21

Venue: Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai

Date &Time: April 11th at 7:30 PM IST and Local Time

Live Streaming: Star Sports Network and Disney+Hotstar

Pitch Report

There is a lot of grass on the DY Patil pitch, and the ground staff has put a lot of moisture on it. The wicket will be slow-paced rather than fast-paced. Bowling short is something you should avoid doing with the ball.

Spin bowlers will have a field day on this track; there will be some turn, but it will be sluggish. Today’s setting will not be conducive to huge scoring, thus a score of 150-160 for the team batting first would suffice.

Top Performer

Gujarat Titans

Shubman Gill is the season’s second-highest run-scorer, with 180 runs scored in three matches at an average of 60 and a strike rate of 166. He looks in very good form and thus one can expect another fantastic innings from him.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Rahul Tripathi had a fantastic century against Chennai Super Kings in the previous game, and his innings had completely changed the game in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s favour.

In his brief spell at the plate, the right-hander struck a 15-ball 39* with five fours and two sixes, and he appeared to be at ease. Tripathi’s timing has been flawless thus far, and he will be a crucial element of the SRH batting line-up in the remaining matches.

Predicted XI

Sunrisers Hyderabad: Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (c), Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Shashank Singh, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, Umran Malik, T Natarajan.

Gujarat Titans: Wade/Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Hardik Pandya (c), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Abhinav Manohar, Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Shami, Darshan Nalkande.
