Manchester United ‘could move for Harry Kane in January 2024’

Harry Kane scoing record breaking goal for Tottenham

If Tottenham Hotspur refuses to let Harry Kane go during the summer transfer window, Manchester United may try to sign him in January 2024.

The 29-year-old’s future is once again being discussed, with Manchester United reportedly making him their top target in the forthcoming transfer window.

According to a recent rumor, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would refuse to transfer the England captain to either Manchester United or Manchester City this summer.

Man United are thought to be wary of becoming embroiled in a lengthy transfer saga, as they were when they failed to capture Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong last summer.

Kane’s contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium expires in June 2024, according to a recent rumor, and the forward has informed close pals that he will not be signing a new contract with the club.

Bayern Munich has also been connected with the Englishman, though it is unclear whether the Bundesliga giants will be able to raise the necessary finances to sign him.

Manchester United in no hurry to acquire Harry Kane’s signature

Any deal for Kane is anticipated to be in the region of £100 million, with Tottenham able to demand a hefty price due to his status as one of the world’s best attackers.

However, Sky Sports News reports that Manchester United is preparing for Spurs to refuse to do business with them in the upcoming market.

According to the source, the Red Devils are willing to wait until January 2024 to sign Kane, which would be the last window in which he may be moved if he does not sign a new contract.

Man United are also interested in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani, but Kane is believed to be their top target in the last third.

The forward has lately become both Tottenham’s and England’s leading goalscorer, but he faces another trophyless season as Spurs strive to finish in the top four in the Premier League.

The North London club now sits fifth in the rankings, three points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who have a game in hand.

Kane has been in fine form for Tottenham this season, scoring 24 goals and contributing four assists in 40 games across all competitions.
