Real Madrid wants Bellingham, Mbappe, Davies this summer

Mbappe, Bellingham, Davies to Real Madrid

During the summer transfer season, Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, and Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies.

A deal for Bellingham is reported to be in the works, with Los Blancos appearing to be in pole position to sign the in-demand 19-year-old from Dortmund during the summer transfer window.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Real Madrid has even bigger intentions for the forthcoming transfer window, with the club considering signing both Mbappe and Davies.

Mbappe was generally expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer last summer, but he instead chose to sign a new contract in Paris.

The France international’s contract continues through June 2024, with the option of an additional year, so he might be available on a free transfer again next year.

Real Madrid might test the waters with an offer this summer, with Mbappe free to sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in January 2024 if he does not activate the additional year on his contract.

The Frenchman has had another fantastic season for PSG, scoring 38 goals and providing nine assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.

Mbappe’s long-term future in Paris is far from assured, and Real Madrid are regarded to be the only genuine contenders to recruit him at this stage of the process.

Meanwhile, Davies is rumoured to be Real Madrid’s top left-back target, with the club willing to allow Ferland Mendy depart during the forthcoming transfer window.

Eduardo Camavinga has been used as a left-back frequently in recent months, particularly in big games, but Los Blancos are thought to prefer a specialist in that position going ahead.

Davies appeared in 38 games for Bayern during the 2022-23 season, scoring three goals and providing eight assists.

The injury he suffered against Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga on April 22 will keep the Canada international out for the rest of the season.

Davies’ contract at Allianz Arena has two years left on it, and it is understood that Bayern wish to extend it, with Real Madrid likely facing an uphill battle to sign him.

Since joining Bayern from the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019, the 22-year-old has made 153 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring eight goals and assisting 25 times.

Real Madrid, who won the Copa del Rey earlier this month, will be looking to reach the Champions League final when they travel to Manchester City for the second leg of their semi-final on Wednesday evening, with the draw locked at 1-1 after the first leg in Madrid.
