A streaker who ran onto Bankwest Stadium with 90 seconds left in West Tigers star Benji Marshall’s 300th game yesterday has been identified as a radio executive. He was attending the game as a guest of the NRL.
The game was all but over with the Eels leading 28-18 when security tackled Austereo national account manager Matthew Cooper on the 40m.
His employer Southern Cross Austereo confirmed, it was their employee who had run nude onto the field and that he had been provided the ticket “for use in a personal capacity”.
“SCA is aware of the matter and currently looking into it further,” said an SCA spokesperson.
