According to a criminal complaint released on Thursday (AEST), US baseball star Felipe Vazquez, nicknamed “Nightmare” has admitted that he had “sex but not really” with a 13-year-old girl he met on Instagram.
The new court papers describe the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher’s illegal relationship with the teen, which includes the alleged assault in August 2017.
The 28-year-old told investigators that he drove his red Ford Mustang from Pittsburgh to the girl’s home in Scottsdale, Pennsylvania, and the victim as “already being ready” for sex. Further he admitted they had “sexual intercourse inside of his vehicle.”
Vazquez described the encounter as “sex but not really” because it was cut short. Also the complaint claims that the athlete recently sent the victim an X-rated text message, saying he wanted to “finish” the deed.
Vazquez has been charged with felony counts of statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, as well as a misdemeanour count of indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old.
