BCCI to send Jasprit Bumrah to UK for lower back stress fracture injury

India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, who has been ruled out for a two months period that starts from the South Africa Test series till the end of Bangladesh series due to a major injury, is set to travel to the UK in order to consult 3 specialists there to seek opinion on his lower back stress fracture.

It is Bumrah’s first major injury break in his three and a half year international career. However, cricketer Umesh Yadav has replaced Bumrah in the Indian Test squad for the series against South Africa.

A BCCI senior official said in a statement, “The BCCI is sending Bumrah to London for further treatment on his stress fracture. The NCA head physiotherapist Ashish Kaushik will be accompanying him. The BCCI has fixed appointments with three different specialists to get multiple opinions.”

According to reports, Bumrah is expected to leave for the UK on October 6th or 7th and would stay there for about a week.
