Greenwood’s management has allegedly responded to the Crows’ statement and said that the 27-year-old wanted to stay at Adelaide, but he is moving on for a long-term deal of four-years.
Greenwood’s agent Michael Oakes in a statement said, “Hugh’s reason if he does leave has nothing to do with the club.”
“It’s to do with the terms of the contract. We’ve been pretty open to the fact that if he could get something long term he’d probably stay there.”
According to reports, earlier this year the Crows dismissed to budge on the two-year deal the club tabled to Greenwood.
The Gold Coast’s signing coup has been labelled as the “steal of the trade period” with Greenwood walking to the Suns on a deal allegedly worth up to $1.6 million across the next four seasons.
