CoA snubs BCCI office-bearers, not invited to AGM

As BCCI is on the verge of electing a new stable body, the incumbent office-bearers have been badly snubbed by the CoA. The acting president CK Khanna, acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary and treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary have not been sent invitations for the upcoming general body meet (AGM) on October 23.

The CoA has been managing the affairs of Indian cricket for the last two and a half years after being appointed by the Supreme Court. The CoA had sent the accounts and balance sheets to the office-bearers a few days back to clear them.

The BCCI officials are left high and dry at this treatment meted out to them. “The CoA can’t subvert the constitutional rights of the office-bearers,” said a BCCI official. The members have to be present at the AGM at least to demit their office, said the member. No clarification has been given by the CoA so far.
