IPL 2022: RR vs GT – Team News, Predicted Lineup & Match Preview

RR vs GT

It has been quite a riveting journey so far and the action continues to roll on as Rajasthan Royals (RR) get ready to go head-to-head with Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 24th game of the 15th edition of the IPl.

In their previous game, the Royals came out on top against the Lucknow Super Giants in a nail-biter. Kuldeep Sen stepping up in the last over is already a huge plus for them.

Gujarat, on the other hand, lost their first game of the season against the Sunrisers Hyderabad by a narrow score in the previous match. The Hardik Pandya-led side has won three of their first four games, but they will need a lot more from their top order, which struggled in the previous encounter. With their overseas batsmen failing to provide much with the bat, Gujarat may make two or three changes to their line-up.

RR vs GT – Match Details

Match #24

Venue: Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai

Date & Time: 14th April, 7:30 PM

Live Streaming: Star Sports Network for Television and Disney + Hotstar app for live streaming.

Pitch Report

The pitch has been a belter to bat on in the last two games at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. It will be critical for the batting side not to lose wickets since the surface will not hold up in the finish.

Although dew hasn’t been a huge impact recently, the captain who wins the toss will bowl first. Plans to assess the conditions well and ease up the run chase would be in the mind of both the captains.

Top Performers

Rajasthan Royal

Yuzvendra Chahal has picked up 11 wickets in 4 matches at an average of 9.45 and is the current purple cap holder. He looks like the man in form this season and will be leading Royals bowling attack.

Gujarat Titans

Hardik Pandya is doing well with the bat scoring 141 runs in 4 matches, scoring a half-century in the previous match. The Captaincy role has surely made him more responsible and it looks like he the man leading from the front for GT.

Predicted XI
