Kapil Dev and Co. eligible to pick Team India head coach

The Committee of Administrators has given green signal to Kapil Dev and company to pick India’s next head coach, obliterating any doubts about conflict of interest. CoA chief Vinod Rai said that they have examined the declarations given by the members and found no evidence of conflict of interest. “We have seen, it is fine. The meetings with the shortlisted candidates will happen in mid-August and the appointment will follow after that. CAC’s decision with regards to appointment will be final,” Rai said.

Hence, amid all the buzz for the last few days, the CoA formally appointed the CAC, comprising Kapil Dev, Anshuman Gaekwad, and Shantha Rangaswamy. Several key names have been doing the rounds who had thrown their hats into the ring, including Ravi Shastri and Robin Singh.
