Liverpool not planning to make any bids for PSG start forward

Kylian Mbappe post that led to Manchester United fans comments

Despite the new developments about Kylian Mbappe’s future, Liverpool allegedly has no intentions to rekindle their interest in him.

Only one year after appearing to put an end to rumours about his next career move by signing a new contract with PSG, the 24-year-old is embroiled in yet another transfer saga.

Mbappe turned down the opportunity to join Real Madrid last year, instead signing a new two-year contract with PSG that includes an option to extend until 2025.

However, the former Monaco superstar has informed the French champions that he will not be exercising his 12-month option, leaving him free to go next summer.

After allegedly becoming enraged by Mbappe’s letters, PSG will attempt to trade the striker for a fee this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing at the conclusion of next season.

Mbappe, on the other hand, has stated that he has no intention of leaving the Ligue 1 holders this summer, despite the fact that he is unwilling to commit his future to the club beyond 2024.

Real Madrid and Manchester United have been alerted, while Liverpool were mentioned as potential suitors for Mbappe prior to his PSG contract renewal in 2022.

Kylian Mbappe and Liverpool transfer saga has no story

According to The Telegraph, Liverpool are not interested in the story and are not considering a move for the French World Cup winner at this time.

With PSG still likely to demand at least £100 million this summer, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Newcastle United have all removed themselves from the scenario, according to the source.

Mbappe’s most likely destination remains Real Madrid, with Carlo Ancelotti’s team looking for a new big-name striker following Karim Benzema’s unexpected exit to Saudi champions Al-Ittihad.

Los Blancos might also wait and try to capture Mbappe on a free transfer in 2024, but if Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani completes a full takeover this summer, Manchester United will emerge as significant rivals.

Mbappe has 212 goals and 98 assists in 260 games for PSG after signing on loan from Monaco in 2017, one year before Les Parisiens paid €180 million (£153.9 million) to purchase him permanently.

PSG reportedly turned down a deal from Real Madrid worth £137 million in 2021 for Mbappe, who earned his fifth Ligue 1 Golden Boot last season with 29 goals in 34 top-flight outings.

Despite the loss of Roberto Firmino on a free transfer, Liverpool is well-stocked in the final third and is emphasising midfield signings ahead of the 2023-24 season.

The Reds have already secured Alexis MacAllister in a £35 million deal from Brighton & Hove Albion, but Jurgen Klopp is reported to desire another two midfielders before the transfer window closes.
