PSG give Al-Hilal permission to speak with Mbappe after accepting €300m bid

Kylian Mbappe post that led to Manchester United fans comments

After accepting a world-record €300 million (£259.3 million) bid, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) reportedly granted Al-Hilal permission to talk with Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe’s current PSG deal expires at the end of the 2023-24 season, suggesting he might leave in the summer.

The France international has hinted that he is willing to trigger a one-year extension, which would allow him to go for free next summer.

PSG have made it clear that Mbappe must sign a new contract or the French champions would attempt to sell him during the current transfer window.

Mbappe, who missed PSG’s tour of Japan and South Korea, is said to have decided to join Real Madrid in the summer of 2024.

However, a number of European clubs have been made aware of the situation and are investigating the prospect of signing him.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Barcelona are among those interested, but they will be up against Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

According to a recent rumour, the Saudi Pro League club made a world-record €300 million (£259.3 million) bid for the French striker.

According to Sky Sports News, PSG have accepted Al-Hilal’s offer and has granted Mbappe permission to negotiate with the Saudi club.

PSG are open to any offer for Mbappe, but other teams will struggle to match the rich offer made by Al-Hilal.

There has also been speculation that PSG are willing to let him go on loan, despite the fact that the player is eager to stay at the club even if he is frozen out next season.

Mbappe reputedly earns £2 million per week at PSG and is poised to earn more than £100 million, including bonuses, provided he completes the remainder of his deal.

Last season, the 24-year-old scored 41 goals and assisted 10 times in 43 games across all competitions.

Since joining from Monaco in 2018, he has appeared in 260 games for the French giants, scoring 212 goals and giving 98 assists.
