According to reports, Real Madrid are preparing a summer offer for Karim Adeyemi, a forward for Borussia Dortmund. Los Blancos began the 2022–23 season with 35-year-old Karim Benzema as their top scorer after failing to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain last summer Madrid are now approaching Adeyemi.
With 13 goals so far this season, Benzema and Vinicius Junior are Real’s joint-top scorers across all competitions. Vinicius Junior scored in Thursday night’s 2-0 La Liga victory over Valencia.
Carlo Ancelotti decided without adding players to his team during the January transfer window, but the Italian is anticipated to shop around during the summer, and it is thought that attacking reinforcements would be on the agenda.
Mariano Diaz and Karim Benzema are both out of contact this summer, though the former is most likely to sign new contracts with the Spanish powerhouses.
Defensa Central claims that Adeyemi of Dortmund has been identified as a potential target for Real Madrid this summer. According to the report, Los Blancos have been monitoring the 21-year-old for some time, but they are aware that it could not be “simple” to negotiate for him to leave BVB.
After a fantastic stint with Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg, where he produced 34 goals and 24 assists in 94 appearances across all competitions, Adeyemi was linked with a number of major European teams last summer.
But Dortmund ultimately prevailed in the battle for his services, acquiring the teenage forward for almost €30 million on a contract that runs until June 2027.
Real Madrid joins the race for signatures of Karim Adeyemi
With the Bundesliga club this season, Adeyemi has subsequently struggled to match his productive Salzburg form, scoring just three goals and recording just one assist in 21 appearances across all competitions.
The highly regarded youth Youssoufa Moukoko or Anthony Modeste have been frequently used by Dortmund as the central striker in place of the Germany international, who previously played down the middle for Salzburg.
However, it is still believed that Real Madrid sees Adeyemi’s potential and will consider making an offer for the forward before the 2023–24 season.
Jude Bellingham, a midfielder who plays for Dortmund and is expected to become one of the most sought-after players in Europe this summer, is also said to be of interest to the current La Liga and Champions League champions.
According to a recent report, Real Madrid has set their sights on the 19-year-old Englishman for the summer transfer window, but they will likely face stiff competition from teams like Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United for his services.
