Sam Darnold was allegedly diagnosed with mononucleosis weeks ago, it is an infection with which many people are familiar. This infection causes extreme fatigue and tends to linger for a longer time, moreover the infection leads to organs and affects them adversely, like the spleen becomes enlarged.
A person with mononucleosis is always at risk of rupturing organs affected by the infection, especially if someone is participating in activities like football.
Darnold has still not been fully cleared by doctors. So, he shed some light on his health conditions, as he put it on Thursday, he needs to take extra precaution to ensure his safety and that he is “not going to die” on the field even when he feels well enough to play.
