Shane Warne getting pop star Ed Sheeran involved in the Hundred for new Lord’s cricket team

The former leg-spinner, Shane Warne has become the third Australian coach after Andrew McDonald and Simon Katich for the inaugural 100-ball tournament next year, announced by the England and Wales Cricket Board.

However, Warneplans to build a team that excites on the pitch, so he plans to call on his close friend Sheeran to get involved in the Hundred for new Lord’s cricket team to entertain off it.

Warne, who previously coached Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. 

The 49-year-old said, “I’m very proud and very honoured to be asked to be the head coach of the Hundred team based at Lord’s.”

Also, he said, “Ed loves his cricket, he’s a mate and he’ll probably be doing some live concerts for our team. So any Sheeran fans out there you probably want to be part of our team. He’ll be hanging with us.”
