Ash Barty became Australia’s $10 million star

Ash Barty allegedly became a $10 million golden girl, as she has achieved something that has never been seen before in Australian sport.

Barty, who is not only women’s tennis’s top-ranked player, but also she is the tour’s richest performer in 2019 after she crashed through the $10 million prize money barrier for the season.

Barty’s one-from-two record so far at the WTA Finals has taken her on-court $10.93 million earnings for the year. And he has chances to earn even more if she beats Petra Kvitova on Thursday night to qualify for the semi-finals.

But even if Barty loses and misses the semi-finals, still the 23-year-old will leave China with $890,000.
