Dane Cordner punched Saifiti for allegedly taunting him being a “nobody”

Dane Cordner — the older brother of Australian rugby league captain Boyd, punched Newcastle Knights NRL prop Jacob Saifiti in the face for taunting him being a “nobody”.

Saifiti, who was besotted and was acting aggressively towards another patron outside a pub when Cordner stepped in and then there was a heated exchange. Which was like:

Cordner reportedly told Saifiti ‘‘Enough’s enough, you hero.’‘

Saifiti allegedly responded: ‘‘look at the size of you.’‘  “Who the f*** are you Cordner? You’re a nobody.’‘

“The Knights are going to tear up your contract,” said Cordner.

Well, the entire matter has gone to the Newcastle Local Court, where Saifiti claimed that he could not remember the conversation taking place. Also, he denied being aggressive.

Cordner, on the other hand has pleaded not guilty to causing reckless grievous bodily harm to Saifiti.
