Liverpool vs Chelsea : FA Cup final

Liverpool and Chelsea will face off in the 141st FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

This will be the second time these two sides will be meeting for a domestic cup final this season. The previous encounter which was the Carabao Cup final saw the Reds get better of the Blues by the barest of margins as the Merseyside club won on penalties (11-10).

The FA Cup is the only domestic trophy still on the table for the London club this season, and Crystal Palace, another London team, were no match for the Blues in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Liverpool beat Manchester City in one of their many dominating clashes to reach the main event, and the thought of a four-trophies haul lingers in the minds of the travelling Merseyside fans.

Moreover, Liverpool will be looking to win both the domestic cup in a single season for the first time since 2000-01.

Overall, this will be the 4th meeting between the Reds and the Blues this season with all 3 previous clashes ending at level.

While the previous time these two sides met in a FA Cup final was in 2012 which saw the Blues lifting the trophy.

Chelsea will be making their 16th final appearance in this competition as compared to Liverpool’s 15th.

Roberto Firmino was back on the bench for Liverpool against Villa however, the Reds only have one injured player in name of Fabinho.

Chelsea also saw one of their key midfielders depart the field with a serious injury, as Mateo Kovacic is suffering from an ankle issue. Meanwhile, Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi will watch on from the sidelines as both of them are ruled out.
