Indian Hockey team gets a surprise visit from Kamal Hassan

The Indian Hockey team and the Odisha FC team currently training at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar got a surprise visit from superstar Kamal Hassan, who was in the city to receive an honorary doctorate for his contribution to Indian cinema.

The 65-year-old actor took time out of his packed schedule and paid a visit to the two teams. He was presented with two team jerseys. The Indian team skipper Manpreet Singh and senior player PR Sreejesh were seen taking selfies with the actor. Kamal Hassan is the founder of the Makkal Needhi Maiam political party in Tamil Nadu.

The actor took a tour of the extensive facilities of the Kalinga Stadium complex. He also met with the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and sought his advice on politics. “Thank you @CMO_Odisha for your wonderful hospitality & love. I’ll always cherish this visit & our conversations. I’ve a lot more to imbibe from you & implement in my beloved Tamil Nadu. Odisha is a treasure trove in your good, able hands. My salutations to & your team Sir” tweeted the veteran actor.
