Jadeja fastest left-arm bowler to reach 200 Test wickets

During the third day of the first Test against South Africa, Ravindra Jadeja picked up his 200th wicket to become the fastest to reach the landmark. Jadeja pipped Sri Lankan Rangana Herath who achieved the milestone in his 47th Test match while Jadeja reached it in his 44th.

In ODIs, Jadeja has 178 wickets under his belt from 156 matches, while in 44 T20Is he took 33 wickets. Jadeja’s 200th wicket was that of Dean Elgar who played a fine knock of 160 runs to stabilize the SA innings along with Quinton de Kock (111).

Fans and BCCI, including fellow cricketers, extolled Jaddu for his achievement.
