New Zealand rugby dragged into outcry following radio host’s comments

A New Zealand radio host Sean Plunket has come under fire after commenting on All Blacks star to stop making inclusive comments and stick to rugby.

In an interview, Perenara indicated that the All Blacks would be open to have an openly gay teammate. Further, he said that he believed both the New Zealand rugby public and the team shared his inclusive attitude — an attitude Plunket wasn’t seem impressed by while discussing the comments.

Plunket said, “You’re getting a little woke for me TJ. It’s making me go off you a bit.”

However, TJ Perenara’s wife and mum have allegedly hit back in defense at comments made by broadcaster Plunket that the All Black halfback was “woke”.
