Rohit Sharma breaks Chris Gayle’s record

Amidst all the rumours of a rift between the vice-captain Rohit Sharma and India captain Virat Kohli, which started after the World Cup, the 32-years-old batsman seems to be unperturbed with all the rumours around. And he continues to start from where he left exactly.

Mumbai batsman on Sunday has successfully set a new world record for the most sixes hit by a batsman in T20 international cricket. Sharma set this record in an ongoing 2nd match against West Indies at Lauderhill in Florida.

Sharma breaks West Indies legend Chris Gayle’s record by making a new record with his 106th six in T20I cricket. Sharma was just four sixes behind Gayle’s mark of 105 before the match started at Lauderhill. Sharma became the first to have the most sixes in T20 international cricket, followed by Chris Gayle (105), Martin Guptill (103), Colin Munro (92) and Brendon McCullum (91) complete the top five.
