Indian cricket team vice-captain Rohit Sharma hit a brilliant century in the second match of the ODI series against the West Indies. Rohit hit his ODI career’s 28th century off 107 balls. He played brilliantly in the second match of the series being played in Visakhapatnam, on Wednesday. He is second in the list of Indian batsmen scoring the most centuries in a calendar year. Rohit scored 159 runs off 138 balls with the help of 17 fours and five sixes.

Most centuries in a calendar year from India record is in the name of Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar scored 9 centuries in a calendar year in 1998. At the same time, Saurabh Ganguly had scored seven ODIs in the year 2000.

Rohit Sharma had a great game in the World Cup. Rohit had scored 5 centuries in the 50 over Cricket World Cup 2019 played in England. Earlier, he had scored 133 runs against Australia in Sydney on 12 January.

Rohit and Rahul shared a 227-run partnership for the first wicket. Both batted strongly, learning from the failure of the previous match. Lokesh Rahul also showed strength and made the third century of his ODI career. Rahul scored 102 runs, caught by Roston Chase off Alzari Joseph.
