The Australian swimming star Shayna Jack’s mysterious withdrawal has raised eyebrows, as she pulled out of the world championships just at the last-minute, and coaches have no clue about it.
Jack, 20, was an important swimmer for the Dolphins’ world record-breaking 4x100m freestyle relay team. And she was all set to become a major part of the 4x200m outfit at the 8-day world championships starting in Gwangju, South Korea.
However, fans were shocked when just days ago, Jack took it to her social media and announced that she would not contest the titles. Jack wrote on her Instagram post, “It is with great sadness that I have to withdraw from world championships due to personal reasons. I appreciate everyone’s support and patience. Thank you all.”
Moreover, there is no official confirmation from Swimming Australia yet.
