Andrew Forrest to launch a new competition ‘Global Rapid Rugby’ next year

Following Wallabies failings in the quarter-finals, Billionaire mining magnate Andrew Forrest has allegedly blamed the leadership of Rugby Australia for the failure of Wallabies’ at the recent World Cup, he said that he will barrack hard for “other people” to take over.

Ever since the Western Force were removed from the Super Rugby’s ranks in 2017, Forrest has been withering Rugby Australia’s management team, which is led by Chairman Cameron Clyne.

Rumor of Clyne and chief executive Raelene Castle quitting are doing around. Forrest, on the other hand, is set to launch a new competition called ‘Global Rapid Rugby’ in March next year. Also, he’s confident that the competition would be able to breathe new life into rugby in Australia. The six-team competition will be allegedly featuring experimental rule changes designed to promote attractive rugby.
