We are almost at the business end of this edition of the Indian T20 League. It is now time for game number 69 which sees a contest between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC).
This will be both teams’ final group stage game. MI is already out of the playoff picture and will be playing for pride. With three wins in 13 games, they are in last place in the points table. David Warner has been in fine form for the Delhi Capitals this season, and he’ll be looking to avenge his first-ball dismissal from the previous game. With 427 runs at an average of 53.37, the left-hander is in fifth place in the Orange Cap race, and he will undoubtedly be a major factor in the must-win match against Mumbai.
Tilak Varma has been MI’s best player this season and is expected to play a crucial role in the final game. He has outpaced the rest of the team and is currently the leading run scorer. Varma has 376 runs at an average of 37.6 and a strike rate of 131.46 in 13 matches.
