Lewis Hamilton feared after seeing F2 star Anthoine Hubert’s horror crash live on TV

F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton got horrified after seeing F2 star Anthoine Hubert fatally crashed his car live on TV. 

The 34-years-old immediately realized that the fatal incident that took place on Saturday was serious and in a statement he said, “Oh wow, I hope that kid’s good. That’s terrifying”

Hubert, who hit the barrier at Spa was racing in the Formula 2 race on Saturday. His Arden car was hit at around 150mph (240km/h) by the oncoming vehicle of Juan Manuel Correa. Correa is in the hospital for he broke both his legs and spine in the crash.

Hubert, however was confirmed dead by the FIA that night. The racer was just 22 at the time of this fatal accident. 

Hamilton, who had to drive through the section of the track where Hubert was killed got disturbed when he witnessed the crash on the TV. 

Hamilton, took to his Instagram to pay the tributes to the young driver and wrote: “This is devastating. God rest your soul Anthoine. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family today.”
