The former NBA player from Seattle, USA James Donaldson, who has played for NBA for almost two decades, along with Indian mountaineer Deeya Suzannah Bajai, who has successfully climbed six out of the seven highest peaks, which includes the Mount Everest have been appointed as the brand ambassador of Sukarya, a women-centric NGO.
Donaldson in a statement said, “I have always tried to make men and women speak up about their mental health issues, that’s why I started ‘Gift of Life Foundation.”
He further added, “My work on mental health issues, it fits well with what Sukarya is doing. It is a perfect marriage of two organisation of what we can do together. We can go far together, create a legacy.”
Deeya, who is a Padma Shri Awardee, said that Sukarya is the right platform for her as she always had dreamt of working for the underprivileged women and children in the country.
