India plays Scotland in their next world cup game

India is two points behind a qualification position in their group; After playing three matches they are coming forth in the group. The teams who have attained more points than them are Pakistan who has all four of their games and; In the second and third positions there are Afghanistan and New Zealand. Even though both of these teams have four points Afghanistan edge New Zealand as they have a better run rate. Namibia is coming fifth in the group; they have the same amount of points as Virat Kohli’s team but because they have a poor run rate they are behind. The last position in the group is occupied by Scotland.

Scotland qualified for the ‘super 12’ stage of the cup after finishing first in ‘group B’ of the cup; In the group stages, they won all of their matches beating Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, and Oman. However, they have struggled in the next stage; Scotland hasn’t beaten any team in their ‘super 12’ group. They lost their first match to Afghanistan by 130 runs; Later, they recorded their second loss in the cup against Namibia by 4 wickets. In their most recent match, they lost to New Zealand by a margin of 16 runs. They play their last two games of the cup against India and Scotland.

This is the 37th match of the T20 world cup; The match will take place on the fourth of November at 7:30 pm IST. India is expected to win this match and extend their winning streak. This is because many expect that the Scottish batsman will struggle against Virat Kohli’s bowling after the great performance of Shami and Ashwin in the last game. However, the Indians need to stay focused and perform well with the bat if they hope to win.
